Lazy E Ranch Internships
The Lazy E Ranch of Guthrie offers paid internships in the areas of breeding/foaling, sales prep and general horsemanship, as well as a year-long internship. The ranch hires approximately 25 interns each year. Neary 2,500 horses come through the gates of the Lazy E each year. The unique part of this ranch is that the Lazy E does not own a single horse on the ranch. All of the horses are owned by clients. The Lazy E stands 11 stallions, including leading race sire Corona Cartel. The ranch breeds and foals several hundred mares each year,as well as offering a sales prep service. The Lazy E is one of the few ranches in the country to offer comprehensive internships for interested students. Kentucky Equine Management Internship
The Kentucky Equine Management Internship (KEMI) program provides PAID internships to college students with an interest in the horse industry. Students can attend one or both of the internship sessions. The spring session (mid January - mid June) focuses on the breeding side of the industry and the fall session (mid July - mid December) focus on the sales, marketing and early development of race horses. Interns live and work on a central Kentucky Thoroughbred farm and attend weekly lectures/demonstrations about current topics in the equine field.
While the majority of KEMI interns come from an Animal Science/Equine Science background, students from any major that have a interest in horses or being employed in the horse industry are welcome.

Camp Ozark
Camp Ozark is a Christian Sports and Outdoor Adventure Camp, for kids ages 7-17, located in beautiful central Arkansas. They will be at Oklahoma State University recruiting staff to spend all or part of next summer playing with, laughing with, influencing and loving the nearly 4,000 kids that will attend Camp Ozark. Through their summer staff, they are able to offer kids more than 70 different activities from team and individual sports, to water and outdoor adventure activities, and creative skills. If you’re interested in spending your summer outdoors, having a fun, exciting, and challenging summer job and making a huge difference in the lives of others, then Camp Ozark is the place for you!
They will be having an informational video presentation: Wednesday, November 5th at 9:00pm in the Student Union room 408. If you are interested in this possibility for summer employment, come to the video. At the presentation, there will be a chance to sign up for a brief, 20-minute interview, which they will be conducting on campus all day Thursday, November 6th. If you cannot make it to the video, call them and they will be glad to give you more information on applying for next summer, or stop by their information display in the Union. They will be there all day, Monday through Wednesday.
